Mains Cold Water Conversion or Bypass

Converting a stored water system to direct mains fed is often used to eliminate water hygiene, water pressure or compliance related issues. Should a cold water storage tank require refurbishment or replacement, a mains cold water conversion is usually preferred due to its cost efficiency and reduction of risk associated with Legionella bacteria.

A mains cold water conversion involves the removal or bypass of a cold water storage tank, this removes the risks inherited with having stored water. The water pressure of the mains cold water system may need to be regulated using a pressure reducing valve, this ensures all assets associated with the system are not affected by the increase of water pressure.
