Thermostatic Mixing Valve Servicing
Thermostatic mixing valves (TMV’s) are used to regulate the hot water temperature at the outlet to prevent or reduce the risk of scalding.
A TMV is a specialist valve that provides a blend of hot and cold water at a suitable temperature for its use, be it hand washing or bathing. Thermostatic Mixing Valves are most commonly found in health care facilities such as doctors, care homes and hospitals. TMV’s are also used in other buildings such as schools and nursery’s where hot water temperature protection is required.
Thermostatic mixing valves are fitted with a failsafe system where should there be a disruption to the cold water supply, the safety valve will automatically shut preventing the scalding hot water exiting the outlet.
Our engineers are fully qualified to carry out TMV servicing, installation, and replacement, just call a member of the Legionella Water Services team for more information.
